" You will hear us say that at Thaddeus Stevens College of
Technology, we believe that education is a pathway to prosperity.
At the core of our mission is making sure that college is within
reach for everyone, " she said. " We address the economic and
other barriers to accessing higher education, but to do that, we
need funding support. That's where the new division of College
Advancement comes in. "
Private support is essential in helping Thaddeus Stevens College
students complete their degrees and start their careers at a family
sustaining wage. " The support from our community partners,
private donors and foundations, our alumni, and business and
industry allows us to attract and retain faculty who excel in their
area, and to provide learning spaces that are outfitted with next
generation technology so our students are prepared to become
productive members of the business and industry who hire our
graduates their first day on the job. "
Prior to her work with the Department of Education, Pam served
as Coordinator of School, Family, and Community Partnerships at
the School District of Lancaster.
Smith holds a Master of Science degree in Strategic Leadership
from Elizabethtown College as well as a Masters in Social Work
from Temple University. In 2015, she was appointed as Education
Committee Co-Chair to the Lancaster City Mayor's Commission to
Combat Poverty.

forward to working with the College Advancement team to
increase awareness of the life changing impact engagement and
