Students Undergo Training On New
Plasma Cutting Machine
The Metals Fabrication and Welding Technology program at
Stevens recently installed a state-of-the-art CNC high definition
plasma cutting machine. This addition was made possible by the
Department of Labor & Industry's PA Tech Grant in partnership
with the Lancaster Workforce Development Board.
The new Messer Cutting System uses a combination of compressed
air, nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen gasses to precisely cut intricate
shapes generated by using AutoCAD and Hypertherm nesting
software. This cutting system replaces the previous 20 year-old
machine and will bring students up to date on current industry
technology.

Annual Career Fair
The College held its annual Career Fair on February 15th. Approximately 146 companies
attended, represented by 380 recruiters, many of them our graduates. An additional 180
companies were on line in a virtual Career Fair. Commendations to Ms. Grove, her staff and
everyone who assisted with this extremely important event.
