Reflecting on the
Past Year
F

or a community that's founded on
bringing people together, this past year
has truly been a year for the history books.
2020 started out like any other year and then
we were caught in a whirlwind of uncertainty.
Working closely with our county and state
health experts we made some pretty tough
decisions, aiming to keep our community,
employees and families well-being at the
center of it all.
These challenging times, now more than
ever, illuminated that where and how you live
are important. The dedication of our residents
to do the right thing, follow recommendations

and to help one another keep their mind,
body and spirit active and engaged was
inspiring - a testament to how our community
comes together.
Villagers continued to enjoy The Villages
lifestyle in new ways, from online courses,
to walking and cycling on the trails, golfing,
swimming, and today, socially distanced
gatherings. While residents were staying active,
teams were making progress on a number of
initiatives throughout the community.
