Low Slope
Honolulu Roofing Co., Inc. completed the JW Marriott Ihilani Ko
Olina Tower Hotel and Penthouse
roof replacement in early March.
The work involved demolition and
removal and installing a new roof
system that consisted of a mod bit
base sheet, Siplast Parapro PMMA
flashing and roof resin topped with
anti-skid surfacing and finished
with a color coat. The job was done
13 floors above ground, requiring temporary safety railing to be
installed. Making the job even more
challenging was that workers had
to transport existing soil, vegetation
and roofing materials through the
fully occupied hotel during the APEC
Summit in November 2011.
