INSIDE THE GCA
BY LEE SCHALLER
In the more than seven decades since its founding, the General Contractors Association
(GCA) of Hawaii has seen many changes in the industry it serves. The venerable organization and its members also have seen (and been a part of) significant changes in our island state — from the physical skyline to sources of economic revenue. But some things have not changed. “The General Contractors Association of Hawaii will represent its members and be their voice in all matters related to the construction industry. The Association will provide a full range of services satisfying the needs and concerns of its members, thereby improving the quality of construction and protecting the public interest.” The strength and commitment behind GCA Hawaii’s mission statement serves it well — through the challenging times of today — and into the future.
