Large cranes hover over the
busiest intersection of Hagatna,
where construction workers hammer
away at the expansion of a bridge
along Marine Corps Drive in Guam’s
capital district. Elsewhere around the
island, construction alerts and hazard
warning signs dot roads as the government issues weekly traffic advisories,
alerting motorists about lane configurations prompted by the Guam
Transportation Plan 2030. “There are
so many projects going on and two
more projects are coming up for a bid
(on the first week of August),” Public
Works Director Carl Dominguez says.
