NewsMakers Johnson Joins Graham Builders Adams Joins Bonterra Solar Kevin Johnson has joined the design-build firm Graham Builders as architectural designer. He will be designing and developing custom-home plans, guiding homeowners during the design process and creating plan and specification packages for the construction process. Previously, Johnson was a photovoltaic designer at Energy Industries and was a co-owner of studio2k, an interior design firm. Christian Adams has joined Bonterra Solar as a partner and sales director. He will oversee photovoltaic and solar sales in both the residential and commercial divisions. “We are excited to have someone of Christian’s caliber join Bonterra Solar, not only as our new sales director, but also as a partner in the company,” said Andrew Yani, Bonterra co-founder and principal. “He will be instrumental in helping to take Bonterra Solar to the next level.” ABBAE Promotes Higgins Joe Higgins, PE, has been named operations manager for the Hawaii office of Allana Buick and Bers (ABBAE). He will oversee all local staff and be responsible for overall project management and supervision of projects, ranging from proposal and contract review and collaboration with senior design and engineering staff. Higgins, who has been with the company since 2008, and has more than 25 years of experience working with replacement and upgrade of building HVAC systems, plumbing and piping systems, energy management systems, solar thermal and solar photovoltaic systems and energy audits.
