ContractsAwarded BILLION DOLLAR PACE? Year-To-Date Tops $750 Million in Contracts Awarded At this time last year many contractors were cautiously emerging from their bunkers. Hawaii’s agencies had opened their vaults to the tune of $423.7 million through July of 2012 and hopes seemed to justify a belief that the slow times were coming to an end. A year later, that dream now seems a reality. July’s $150 million, in addition to the $212 million awarded in June as reported on this page last month, has brought the yearto-date total to an impressive $750,076,642. That’s enough to cause most of us to revise our own budgets in an upward direction. With five months to go, the year is already $326,310,298 ahead of 2012.
