Continued Success About 1,500 construction and design professionals attended the 12th annual Pacific Building Trade Expo (PBTE) on Oct. 4 at the Hawaii Convention Center, drawn by educational seminars and the hundreds of exhibitors presented at the trade show. The one-day event is produced by the Honolulu chapters of the American Institute of Architects and Construction Specifications Institute with title sponsor Honblue. ‘We are really pleased with both the exhibitor and attendee turnout,” says Steve Nash, event co-chair. “Given the state of the economy you might have expected to see a drop in exhibitors at the show. However our exhibitor count has remained the same for the last five years.” Besides the expo and seminars, the event also provides additional networking opportunities with its buffet lunch and Aloha Reception and the chance to win a variety of prizes (visit www.buildingindustryhawaii to see complete list of winners). “It’s amazing the amount of time and hard work it takes to produce the Pacific Building Trade Expo,” concludes Nash. “The positive feedback from both the exhibitors and attendees however makes it all worth it.
