NewsMakers Andrew Jones Joins Morrow Morrow Equipment Company has announced the appointment of Andrew Jones as branch manager of the Kapolei, Hawaii district operations. Jones will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Kapolei district and coordinate sales and marketing. Jones has 30 years' local construction industry experience managing the yard and equipment shop for dck pacific construction, LLC. "We believe that Andrew's familiarity and industry knowledge gained over the years, combined with his proven ability to foster positve relationships among team members, business associates, vendors and suppliers, will serve him well in his new role as branch manager," said Rick Morrow, vice chairman of Morrow Equipment Company. David Hulihe'e joins A&B Board Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. (A&B) has appointed Grace Pacific LLC Chief Executive Officer David C. Hulihe'e to its board of directors. Since 2008, Hulihe'e has served as the chief executive officer and president of Grace Pacific and was its chairman of the board of directors until A&B's acquisition of the company in October. Hulihe'e is responsible for Grace Pacific's strategic plans and programs, overall operations and longrange planning. Hulihe'e also has a 42-year career in construction with Royal Contracting, Co., Ltd., one of Hawaii's largest civil construction companies, and has been a partner in the development of various commercial projects in the state. Hulihe'e is a graduate of Iolani School and Rita Aponte New Island Air GM Syracuse University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting. NAHB Lauds Stacie Brach The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has named Stacie Brach the 2013 Regional Property Manager of the Year. Brach is a district property manager with Interstate Realty Management (IRM). One of NAHB's "Pillars of the Industry" awards, this national award recognizes superior achievement and creative leadership in the multifamily industry. Brach's portfolio includes IRM's first property management effort in Hawaii, The Towers of Kuhio Park, formerly known as Kuhio Park Terrace. NAHB lauded Brach's management during the $135 million rehabilitation project in 2012 from a failing public housing development to a vibrant, wellmanaged mixed-income community. Promotions at Allied Builders General contracting firm Allied Builders System has promoted Emet Domingo Jr. to vice president of operations. Domingo earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Hawaii and has more than 25 years of construction experience. Lee George and Brendan Inglis have been promoted from project engineers to project managers. Aponte will oversee the management of the Honolulu Airport station, and develop policies and procedures to implement Island Air's service levels to match customer service expectations. "She is an excellent example of someone who has held various positions within our company, gaining experience in all aspects of the airline industry. City Mill's New HR Head City Mill Company, Ltd. has announced the appointment of Debbie Hernandez as human resources manager. She will oversee all aspects of the department for approximately 450 employees, including for sister company Simply Organized, a storage and organization retail chain. Hernandez recently retired from the U.S Air Force after 26 years of service. She has a degree in business administration with an emphasis in human resources management.
