The very popular program saw 95 crews fight it out in English The 2012 racing season began for all of us season opener hosted by the False Creek Men’s Bay on March 3rd. The race format is spectato head for 5km. False Creek swept the podium in the women’s category with the Sprint girls taking top honors in 22:12. On the men’s side, VOS won the battle in a time of 21:39 Leathal Weapon Photography over Pacific Reach (22:13) and All Curls No Girls (22:40). Novice winners were the Starbucks on the women’s side. Lotus dominated the Waverunners on the men’s side and FLCC Bamf Junior’s race in a time of 23:33 while in the older and wiser Golden Master division, it was the False Creek Hulligans taking it to the rest of the field. The FLCC Early Risers won the Sr. Master men’s event in 23:39, and on the women’s side, Sprinters secured the fastest time of the day in the Mixed division in a time of 20:38. Race organizers were thrilled with the day it was the FLCC Fast & Furious.
