hiPa Valentine relay canoe race
Taking advantage of the wind and waves, the course ran with
the swell from Keauhou Bay to the Kona Pier - for the first leg and
from the Kona Pier to the finish at Honokohau Harbor. The course
ran approximately 11 miles.
Here are some pics from the Valentine Relay this year. It was really
exciting because we had wind and swell! I like the pictures of Alisa Pendergrast,
above, catching a wave. She is one of our up-and-coming paddlers.

Keauhou Canoe Club's 4th Annual
Kauikeaouli Challenge Race. As part of the
Kauikeaouli Festival events held annually
at Keauhou Bay, this is a race held for OC6
Recreational paddlers on a 3 mile course.
The race was followed by brunch and awards
for all participants.
