Aloha Pacific Paddler,
Each picture tells a story, and we have plenty of tales to share in this issue. We also have some video that you can see on the digital version of the magazine along with extra photos that were taken at some of the races covered. If you see this play button, you'll know there is a link to a clip that will appear on the screen. Now you can see the magazine, watch the clips and follow links right from your computer, tablet or smart phone. Some of our sponsors have attached videos to their ads. Ron at Island Paddler has put together a paddling clip that shows him working the bumps on his rudderless Aukahi V1. It's a different perspective on the different strokes needed to make a rudderless go where you want it to. Jaco has a video on stretching, Pineula Wa'a has a video clip of Kai Chong on his Pea, and John from Planet Sun and Xcel gives us the skinny on the dangers of UV exposure. On October 15th we will be holding our third annual 'I'll Remember You' fundraiser for the 'Wounded Warriors' program here in Hawaii. Once again Jimmy Buffett's in Waikiki will be hosting the after race party at 'high noon'. It's open to all types of paddle-powered water crafts. Details are at our website pacificpaddler.com.
Aloha

As coach Tambry said, it was like the movie 'The Perfect Storm' the way both canoe and escort boat climbed the wave that was already crashing around us. Here Koa Kai is up the face and we follow.
