nights, with an estimated economic impact of $1.2
million for the city - amazing statistics that are just
part of the reason MacDougall-Shackleton will be
receiving an RBC Place London Ambassador Award in
October. The awards highlight local champions who
influenced the selection of London for a conference or
special event held at the venue.
In August, RBC Place London kicked off the 2023
Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO)
conference in a big way by hosting the City's welcome
reception on the newly renovated King Street patio.
The event was attended by leaders and policy makers
from across the province and helped put a spotlight
on London's designation as Canada's first UNESCO
City of Music.

of the city and the way in which London has welcomed

That's especially encouraging as this year's AMO
annual conference was their largest conference ever
with 2400-plus registered delegates. The association
is scheduled to return to London in 2027.
Yes, there is certainly a lot to be excited about as
London's destination appeal and reputation for service
excellence continue to grow.
