LiUNA Local 1059 aces golf
tourney for United Way
LiUNA Local 1059 drove hard to make their annual golf tournament fun
for participants and meaningful for the community. This year's event
raised a record $200,000 for United Way Elgin Middlesex, adding to
nearly $2 million total over its 23-year history. " It's important for us to
give back to our community and support neighbours in need, " says
Brandon MacKinnon, Local 1059's Business Manager.
" LiUNA Local 1059's generosity may be 'par for the course' for
them, but we consider it an extraordinary show of solidarity with all
the people across our region who benefit from United Way-supported
programs and services, " says Kelly Ziegner, president and CEO
