Stepping Forward With Real-Time Continuous
Glucose Monitoring in the Internal Medicine Practice

ACTIVITY OVERVIEW
Continuous glucose monitoring, or CGM, facilitates recognition of patient-specific trends of hyper- and
hypoglycemia. CGM systems compile a 24-hour ambulatory glucose profile (AGP)-a visual representation
of continuous glucose data. The AGP report can be used to guide the decision-making process for clinicians
involved in the management of patients with diabetes, and it provides improved individualized therapy
optimization. In this 60-minute live symposium, experts in diabetes will review evidence-based data supporting
the use of CGM in different patient populations and provide real-world best practices on the use of CGM in
primary care/internal medicine practices.
