Several new career management tools make ACR
CareerConnection much more than a job board. The Career
Planning Portal, for example, will feature articles such as " Is
Loan Forgiveness an Option for Your Group? " and " Can Your
Practice Support an APP? " These articles should be available
in early 2024.

from full-time to part-time practice, " said Dr. Correll,

CareerConnection and find resources or
opportunities for that transition without
searching through different websites
and training programs. "
And for employers that are understaffed
and need to fill important positions, ACR
CareerConnection is the most efficient
way to reach a multitude of qualified

The site also features several tools to help rheumatology
professionals strengthen their candidate profile. A résumé
review tool provides tips and feedback to help candidates
make a strong first impression, while expert articles outline
best practices for creating résumés and cover letters, and help
candidates prepare for job interviews. The site also includes
expert analyses on the diverse opportunities in rheumatology.
Candidates can also meet with a certified career coach who
will provide personalized guidance to elevate their careers.
ACR Career Fair
A new Career Insights tool provides relevant career data,
such as job outlook, wages, education, and more to help
professionals make informed decisions while planning their next
steps and beyond. Another new tool, the My Work Style survey,
is designed to help rheumatology professionals discover how
to maximize their talents by defining their work personalities
and then matching them with common career paths. And the
TopInterview feature allows candidates to
meet with a professional interview coach to
improve their skills and boost confidence
when meeting with potential employers.

" The current workforce shortage isn't necessarily due to a
lack of available openings, " Moody said. " There are plenty
of positions in rheumatology available, but the field has
struggled with connecting individuals to the places of
highest need. CareerConnection makes it easier to promote
opportunities and find qualified candidates for those areas
of need. "
With ACR CareerConnection, rheumatology professionals
can search for tailored job openings by keyword, function,
title, and location. Each listing provides a detailed
description of the available position with pertinent details
for candidates to consider during the application process.
" The previous CareerConnection website
was primarily designed to search for job
openings, " Dr. Correll said. " We realized
the website had the potential to provide
many more resources for professionals and
employers. "
New features for employers include a
résumé alert feature that automatically
sends email notices when potential
candidates post résumés, making it easier to find qualified
candidates. And a new job alert feature that instantly
notifies candidates of new employment opportunities, giving
employers the power to market their openings directly to
candidates interested in rheumatology.
More than 200 employers have posted open positions on ACR
CareerConnection, offering nearly 2,000 unique jobs. And with
more than 4,000 job seekers active on the site, it is quickly
becoming a one-stop career resource for rheumatologists in
the U.S.
