European Association for Gastroenterology, Endoscopy and
Nutrition
Our organization thrives on the collective strength of its 17 Specialist
Member Societies and 49 National Societies, enabling
us to adapt dynamically to the evolving demands of scientific
research and healthcare.
The 17 Specialist Member Societies represent various gastroenterology
and related disciplines at a pan-European level, encompassing
both general gastroenterology and surgery as well as
specialised disease or organ-oriented associations. The breadth
of our member societies ensures comprehensive coverage of the
field on a pan-European scale.
As direct member societies of UEG, the 49 National Gastroenterology
Member Societies are actively involved in our activities
through the National Societies Committee and the National
Societies Forum. National Society membership is open to gastroenterology
societies from countries recognised by the United
Nations within Europe and the Mediterranean region.
To ensure proper representation, we prioritise the inclusion of all
UEG Specialist and National Member Societies. Each member society
is encouraged to send representatives to the annual Meeting
of Members, held during UEG Week. This gathering serves as
an important platform for member societies to participate and
have their voices heard.
