The 31st United European Gastroenterology Week (UEG Week) in
2023 represented a pivotal moment in gastroenterology blending
tradition with innovation. Taking place at the prestigious Bella
Centre in Copenhagen, Denmark, from October 14 to 17, this
annual gathering convened the brightest minds in the field. UEG
Week serves as a cornerstone for disseminating cutting-edge
scientific research and insights, coupled with lectures from
leaders in digestive health. We were also excited to again offer a
hybrid congress, hosting over 11,000 delegates both onsite and
virtually through our dynamic congress platform. This approach
facilitated the creation of an interconnected digestive health
community, extending our reach to engage with delegates from
around the globe.
This year's UEG Week featured an exceptional Scientific Programme,
boasting over 450 invited faculty members and
showcasing more than 2,600 abstract presentations. Additionally,
the Postgraduate Teaching Programme (PGT) experienced
a record-breaking year, with over 4,700 participants actively
engaging in this enriching two-day educational experience.
