PAIGE RITCHIE, who has eight years of real
estate development experience, is currently
managing the planning, development, and construction
of a portfolio of projects in the Lower
Mainland area of Vancouver, British Columbia,
as a development manager for Bosa Properties,
a family-run real estate development and
construction company. Ritchie spent nearly five
years as a member of ULI British Columbia's
ULI Young Leaders Group before cofounding the
Women's Leadership Initiative in 2019. She is cochair
of WLI British Columbia and has expanded
the committee from three to 16 members in
three years. Ritchie holds a bachelor's degree
in environmental geography with a specialty in
development and sustainability. In her spare
time, she volunteers as a board member with
a local nonprofit whose mission is to provide
women recovering from addiction with a safe
and healthy environment.
AIDA STODDARD is director of development
for Gemdale USA in New York, where she manages
development teams and works closely
with the acquisitions group. Stoddard has
been working in the construction, design, and
development fields in New York for more than
25 years, most recently managing development
teams at Jonathan Rose Companies and Twining
Properties. She is an active WLI New York and
ULI member, and a member of the New York
Mixed-Use Development Council (Blue Flight).
She received her BA from Columbia College and
master of architecture from Columbia University.
MISTY STAUNTON is the chief of staff for the
Houston Planning and Development Department,
working with community leaders, developers,
and consultants to shape the growth of
the city. She has contributed to the city's public
policy oversight of extraterritorial jurisdiction
releases, foreign trade zones, and management
districts. She has strengthened public and private
partnerships from the neighborhood to the
regional scale, driven by her belief that these
partnerships are the basis for resilient cities.
Staunton is committed to being a liaison for the
regulatory aspects of urban planning, marrying
community-driven priorities expressed through
public engagement with the vision of long-term
growth and development in Houston. Staunton
received the 2017 ULI Rose Center Scholarship
and the Outstanding Collaboration Award from
the Houston Planning and Development Department.
She holds a BA in family community service
and a master of international planning from
Michigan State University.
AYAKO UTSUMI, founder of Valon Consulting,
Affordable Homes Development, is a fulltime
real estate developer with a public health
background. She founded her consultancy in
2008 after 17 years in health care business
development in inner-city hospitals, federally
qualified health clinics, and venture capital-
backed national medical groups. She was also
a management consultant for companies like
Deloitte Consulting in health systems strategy
and operations. Utsumi has a master of public
health in health policy and management from
the University of California, Los Angeles, and a
BS in biological sciences from the University of
California, Irvine.
GINA WIECZOREK is a principal of Casitas
Development, a turnkey multifamily accessory
dwelling unit (ADU) development and consulting
firm. Casitas was started with the goal of helping
multifamily owners and investors navigate
the design, permitting, and construction process
to build ADUs on their properties. Wieczorek
is also part of the consultant team that was
awarded contracts with the cities of Pasadena
and West Hollywood, California, for each of their
affordable ADU pilot programs. Before starting
Casitas, she was the director of development for
Urbaneer, leading design, entitlement, development,
and construction efforts for the portfolio.
She holds an MBA with a focus in real estate
from New York University and a BS in business
administration from Cal Poly, San Luis
