Truax Lofts preserves a historic Craftsman-style home that played a vital role in San
Diego's LGBTQ history as the only AIDS-focused hospice during the epidemic. Nakhshab
restored the dilapidated home and developed new residences on adjacent
plots, blending vintage and modern architecture. The Craftsman home now features
10 studio apartments and a community room, while the new residences offer studios
and lofts with a shared courtyard. The LEED-certified development boasts droughttolerant
plants, sustainable materials and finishes, and solar panels.

The Wild Mile is a mile-long (0.6 km), interactive ecopark located on the North
Branch Canal and Turning Basin of the Chicago River. The river restoration project
began as a part of SOM's Central Development Plan for Chicago and leveraged existing
infrastructure-the steel walls and mud floors of the channel-as anchors for
floating docks and garden beds while mobilizing technology and volunteers to help
clean the water and make it more hospitable for plants and wildlife.

and experiential space, 150,000 square feet (14,000 sq m) of tenant-exclusive
amenities, world-class art, a 30,000-square-foot (2,800 sq m) outdoor terrace,
