YEAR OPENED: 2019
USES: Mixed-use commercial industrial property
DEVELOPERS/OWNERS: Conwest Developments
DESIGNERS: TKA+D Architecture + Design
SITE SIZE: 2.3 acres (0.9 ha)
Ironworks is a stacked, mixed-use commercial industrial project built over a full city
block in Vancouver's historically industrial Port Town neighborhood and is designed
to provide synergistic opportunities for industrial, office, cultural, technological, and
culinary uses by offering functional and flexible space currently in low supply within
the city.
A few of the notable design features include mezzanines that are incorporated in
both industrial and office units contributing to an even greater use of space. Located
between the two buildings is the mews. The mews functions as a working street
including business entries and visitor parking spaces. It also is where direct and
common-grade loading for shipments large and small converge.
