PROGRAM TITLE AND OVERVIEW
Master of Real Estate Development Program
Our Master of Real Estate Development program is a collaboration between the College of Architecture,
Design, and Construction and the Harbert College of Business. It provides experienced professionals with
the theoretical, technological, and practical knowledge necessary to produce real estate development
projects that emphasize best practices related to sustainability, economic resilience, social responsibility,
and design excellence.

ANNUAL TUITION AND FEES
The total program cost is $66,300 for
students entering fall semester 2024.
This covers tuition, fees, e-books
and course materials, professional
memberships, and lodging and most
meals during on-campus residencies
and field study trips. Financial aid is
available.
This blended program uses innovative distance-learning technologies, campus residencies, and domestic
and international field studies to provide a robust educational experience that can be completed without
career interruption.
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
Our 21-month program begins each fall and extends over five continuous semesters. During this period,
students are expected to complete 39 semester hours. While the majority of our lectures are provided
via our online learning platform, there are also six in-person residencies included in the curriculum. In
addition, students will participate in four field studies-one international and three domestic-throughout
the program's duration.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The minimum requirements are a four-year degree and five years of professional experience, but those
best positioned to excel in the program will have three years of real estate experience in the fields of
accounting, appraisal, brokerage, construction, design, development, engineering, or law.
No GRE or GMAT entrance exam is required.

* Designed for busy professionals, the program's hybrid delivery model combines online learning with
week-long, on-campus residencies (one per semester). Residencies enable face-to-face interaction
with faculty, in-class group assignments, and professional networking.
* The program features one international and three domestic field studies that allow students to tour
innovative development projects and engage with industry leaders.
* Tuition encompasses course materials, e-books, and lodging and some meals during residencies
and field studies.
* Students receive memberships to the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Commercial Real Estate
Development Association (NAIOP), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and Certified
Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
* The program is delivered in partnership between Auburn University's Harbert College of Business
and College of Architecture, Design, and Construction.
* Auburn University is located in southeast Alabama near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International
