Punggol has been developed as a smart and sustainable waterfront town, boasting
eco-features such as solar panels that supply enough electricity to power all the
public lighting, lifts, and pumps in the public housing blocks; rainwater harvesting;
centralized recycling chutes; and dual bicycle racks. Punggol demonstrates the successful
realization of a community-centered focus in planning and design efforts.
Shanghai Centre
SHANGHAI, CHINA

As an originally comprehensive living environment for the international business
community, the project consists of three towers and a seven-level podium base
with a total of 200,000 square meters (2.15 million sq ft) of building area. The site
includes the Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai Hotel, two 30-story serviced apartment
towers, an exhibition hall, a performing arts theater, and office and retail space.
St George's Towers

SITE SIZE: 1.9 hectares (4.6 ac)
St George's Towers is an urban infill public housing project sensitively tailored to
fit into the context of a mature, densely populated residential neighborhood in
Singapore. Located on a site at Kallang Whampoa, the development reframes the
standardized typology of public housing in Singapore as a uniquely communal experience
that taps into the vibrancy and texture of its surroundings while offering a rich
matrix of shared spaces that tackle the challenges of social isolation and alienation
that commonly plague high-density urban living.
