Jetty Park
Located on the southernmost point of South
Hutchinson Island, you'll find the beautiful Jetty
Park. The Jetty is one of the top spots to watch a
sunrise in St. Lucie or reel in a trophy fish off the jetty
rocks. The park is loaded with amenities including
benches, swings, a fish cleaning station, informational
kiosks, bike racks and public art displays.
Fort Pierce Inlet State Park
This breathtakingly beautiful half-mile beach welcomes
visitors for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba
diving but is ideal for surfing! On the west side of
the park, visitors will discover Dynamite Point, which
was once the training site for WWII Navy Frogmen,
now a haven for birdwatchers.
St. Lucie River
Did you know that the St. Lucie River is an estuary?
Back in 1892, an inlet was dug by residents
to provide direct access to the Atlantic Ocean,
thus changing the St. Lucie from a river to an
estuary. Tall shady oaks, cabbage palms and
mangroves block the bustle of urban life and
provide an oasis for wildlife and people alike.
The Boardwalk at the Port
The Boardwalk along the St. Lucie River is an
excellent place to observe Florida wetlands and
wildlife. Two paths lead through hundreds of
feet of wooded mangroves to the wide boardwalk
and observation deck. It's also a popular
fishing spot for locals and visitors and great for

Oxbow Eco-Center
The Oxbow Preserve is a 225-acre site along the
North Fork of the St. Lucie River. Offering 3 ½
miles of hiking trails, the center offers guided
hikes and educational programs perfect for
outdoorsy children and adults.
