If you volunteer when you're young, you'll probably volunteer in some form or another throughout your life. It's very important. What sets " I tell everybody we work hard, but we play hard, too. We do our Fourth of July celebration as a community project. The Maple Festival and the fair are our main moneymakers, " Mrs. Folks says. What sets Blue Grass apart from other communities? " We know one another and care for one another, " Mrs. Folks explains. " Your neighbor is not just a neighbor, but a friend. I think people need to talk to one another instead of using email or other computerized communication methods. " Bo observes the folks coming into Blue Grass today are retired. " We don't know everybody like we used to because a lot of new people moved in. " Mrs. Folks estimates there are about twice as many people in Blue Grass as when they were children.
