STORY SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED
MENTION OF FARM-SUPPLY/
HARDWARE BUSINESS
The January Crossroads story about
Milford committed a faux-pas by
omitting any mention of G and G Farm
Supply and Ace Hardware, a local
Milford institution.
Run by the Gravatt family, the store is
located on Antioch Road and Route 301,
right across from Whispering Pines
Christmas Tree Farm (which was
mentioned in the article).
G and G provides local farmers and
Caroline County residents not only with
anything they need for farm, home and
garden but a place to go to in the
community for information, expertise,

Cooperative Living magazine's 17th annual Youth Art Contest is now
underway, and all youthful artists are invited to show us your best work!
The theme for this year's Youth Art Contest is " Down on the Farm. " Artwork
entries should reflect the young artist's conception of that theme.
Deadline for entries is May 1, 2019.
The contest is open to all children in kindergarten through fifth grade. There
are three winners in each grade category - first, second and third place. All
winning entries will be published in the July issue of Cooperative Living.
First-place winners in each category will receive a $25 gift card. The entry
judged best in show from all categories will receive a $100 gift card and will be
featured on the cover of the July issue.

Guidelines for artwork: (artwork will not be accepted if all guidelines are not followed)
* Configured vertically (portrait-style)
* 8½-by-11-inch white paper
* You can use any medium you like - pen, ink, watercolors, acrylics, etc.
* On the back of each entry include:
1. child's first and last name, 2. age, 3. name of child's school, 4. grade in
school, 5. mailing address, 6. parent's first and last name, 7. parent's or
guardian's daytime telephone number, 8. parent's or guardian's email,
9. your electric co-op.
Original artwork cannot be returned
Entries can be submitted by:
* Scan artwork, go to co-opliving.com/contests/youth-art and submit with
completed form on site.
* Mail flat (unfolded) to: Youth Art Contest, c/o Cooperative Living magazine,
