rief, by definition, is a multi-faceted response to loss. It includes the numbness, disbelief, separation, anxiety,
despair, sadness, and loneliness that accompany the loss of someone or something loved. But if you've ever
lost a loved one, or even a beloved pet, you know words can't describe grief as felt first-hand. When dealing
with grief, it's helpful to know that there are many sources of comfort that are only a click away.
Journey of Hearts
www.journeyofhearts.org
This website reminds visitors
that they are not alone in
their losses or their feelings of
grief, that someone else has
experienced similar loss and
survived.
National Alliance for
Grieving Children

Grieving Children understands
the unique challenges that
children face after losing someone
close to them. The organization
has created wide-ranging educational
resources for those looking
to provide comfort to children.

A Good Grief
www.agoodgrief.com
After the loss of her two-yearold
daughter, Lucy, in 2008, the
website's founder, Molly, maintained
her family blog where she
chronicled her grief. It resonated
with people from all walks of life.
People from all over the world
shared their personal experiences
with grief, so Molly decided to
start a new website to help
connect these people and facilitate
healing for all who have
suffered loss.
Passages through Grief
www.passagesthrough
grief.com
Passages Through Grief was
created by a licensed clinical
psychologist and a grief counselor
who have developed a curriculum
that helps others who have lost
someone find a balance again
and resume their normal life routine.
Through integrative grief
workshops, compassion cards,
and " doing grief " kits, they've
developed significant material for
helping others.

Sanctuary Anywhere, memorial
walks, The Roadside Memorial
Project, publishing articles and
books, and providing caring support
for those in deep grief -
including referrals to qualified
counselors - the folks behind
Friends Along the Road hope to
raise awareness about bereavement.
They also hope to create
sanctuaries for the bereaved to
stay or live in an atmosphere of
acceptance and unconditional
positive regard.
Grieving Dads Project
www.grievingdads.com
Grieving Dads Project is a blog
that discusses issues faced by
fathers who deal with loss and the
difficulties they encounter because
they're supposed to " be strong "
and support others grieving. Men
often have trouble dealing with
grief because they put on a strong
front for the sake of everyone else.
The blog gives insightful support to
these men and makes it easier to
live productive lives in the face of
tragedy. 
