to enjoy among this year's featured fall fairs,
festivals and travel destinations.
Following last year's record-breaking attendance,
the Isle of Wight County Fair, held Sept.
11-14 in Windsor, has added " Ag-Edutainment "
from Farmer Phil, " Wild World of Animals, " a
traveling zoo exhibit and a Military
Appreciation Day on Sunday. While you're
there, enjoy live music from Eric Paslay, along
with favorites Uncle Kracker and Carbon Leaf.
Belle Grove Plantation's Wine Fest in the
northern Shenandoah Valley on Sept. 13 will
feature tastings from eight regional vineyards,
plus live music from The Carroll Brothers and
Elizabeth Lawrence Band along with food and
craft vendors. As Belle Grove commemorates

the 50th Annual Virginia Peanut Festival,
Sept. 25-28 in Emporia. Check out antique
farm equipment, a quilt show and a peanut
cook-off while enjoying live music and great
food. Most of the entertainment is free, with
carnival rides that will appeal to both the young

The South Boston Harvest Festival in
Halifax County on Sept. 27 is a downtown
walking event with crafters and vendors lining
both sides of Main Street. You'll find two stages
of live entertainment, with scarecrow making,
pumpkin painting, pony rides and bounce
