looks like a giant roller coaster that lost a fight with a Transformer. Built for the London 2012 Summer Games, “The Orbit” industrial sculpture stands 70 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty, overlooking Olympic Stadium and the entire breadth of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park—the greatest land rejuvenation project ever. Beginning in spring 2014, two glass-enclosed decks will open for private hire for groups up to 300 people, serviced with a full kitchen and the latest A/V capabilities. The rest of Olympic Park, including the many event venues developed for the Games, reopens for business in July 2013. arcelormittalorbit.com; londonlegacy.co.uk; londonandpartners.com; meetengland.com
