CREDIT CARD FEE
The Department shall charge a two point five percent (2 .5%) credit card processing fee of the cost of any license, permit, stamp, tag, preference
point or competitive raffle chance applied for or purchased by the use of a credit card .
Dear Hunters,
Each fall I look forward to swinging my shotgun over my shoulder and heading out for a walk through heavy cover
with my watchful bird dog, Ellie May . It doesn't get much better than a cool Wyoming morning with Ellie's nose
pointed into a breath of wind as I wait for her to get " birdy . " The sound of sudden flapping wings, a well-placed shot
(or sometimes not so much) and the successful retrieve feeds my passion for bird hunting .
As the director of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and a fellow hunter, I want to say thank you . Hunting
is conservation in its most historic and pure form . Your deep appreciation for Wyoming's wildlife is reflected in the
tremendous diversity and abundance of wildlife we have in our state .
Hunters make the outdoors better and have a big role in ensuring healthy wildlife and habitats . As sportspeople,
your support and care for wildlife and the outdoors are why Wyoming's game birds, small game, wild turkeys and
migratory birds are some of the best in the world .
A hunter's dedication to conservation can be a complimentary boost to nature, and I am truly looking forward to
a great 2023 season . It is currently raining as I write this and has been every day for the last several weeks in
Cheyenne . Although the rain has been an inconvenience at times, it plays a crucial role in producing vegetation and
insects . The abundant rain will mean good nesting cover, food and habitat for broods this year .
When you buy a hunting license, you invest in conservation, wildlife management and public access for today's
hunters and future ones . We can't forget about our aspiring hunters . It's imperative we provide young hunters with
opportunities to learn about conservation, ethics and safety . By investing in our youth, we invest in Wyoming's future .
