April 18 26 ON THE COVER The photographer spotted this male dusky grouse near the North Fork of the Shoshone River about 45 minutes before sunset. As he sat to snap some images the grouse stood on rocks and downed trees to display. Staying uphill the photographer slowly moved with the grouse as it maneuvered over the terrain. The approximately 860,000 kokanee eggs originated from Tillett Springs Rearing Station's captive kokanee broodstock, completed most of their incubation at Story Hatchery and will hatch at Speas in the coming days.
