CAT CONTRAST
In the October 2020 issue you had a wonderful,
two-page photo of a bobcat on a lichen-covered rock.
It reminded me of my cat, Sparkie, who must have
been a descendant from the bobcat. I tore the picture
out and had a perfect frame for it. I enjoy it very
often. Thank you.

BACK TO WILDLIFE
As a former, temporary resident of Wyoming I have
always enjoyed Wyoming Wildlife because it kept me
informed about wildlife in your great state. However,
I have been disappointed in the magazine because it
has emphasized " people stuff " rather than wildlife.
I was greatly pleased with the August 2021 issue. It
went back to the wildlife I used to love. Thank you
for reappearing again.

LEAVES TURNING REMAIN SPECIAL
I enjoyed the recent article about Aspen Days
(September 2021 issue). Where I live in Utah they
are commonly known as quakies and have always
been one of my favorite trees.

and I dug up three small trees from the mountains
- each only a couple of feet tall. Some have grown
and some have died. The ones that are still alive are
scarred and bent now, but they still touch my heart.
One of the things I miss now that I am older is to
be in the quiet mountains in the fall as the winds begin
softly blowing from afar. Like waves, you can hear
it as it works toward you. The golden, quakie leaves
begin to flutter. It is an incredible feeling. Although
I am unable to hunt or get out into the mountains
much anymore, I am always reminded of that beautiful
sound and feeling as I watch the leaves turn.

DONATION PROGRAM APPRECIATED
Thank you for coming out with a donation
program for wildlife crossings for the general public
(September 2021 issue). Everyone loves to see wildlife
- hunters, nonhunters, locals and tourists - but
they don't like to see them killed along roadways
after they were hit by a vehicle. I feel game fences,
underpasses and those types of things are helping
keep wildlife alive.
