ACTE Assembly of Delegates
Approves Two Resolutions
At the annual ACTE Assembly of
Delegates in late November, two
resolutions were approved. Resolutions
are statements of concern, focus and
position submitted by the membership
for the Association to consider. The
two resolutions approved in 2012 were
focused on assisting members in Guam
and Perkins funding. Their key statements
included:
• Be it resolved that ACTE is committed to assisting its members in the U.S.
territory of Guam and their western
Pacific neighbors in the development
of career and technical education; and
in communicating and working with
legislators and government leaders in
Guam and the western Pacific region
to assist in developing growth in local,
state and federal funding for CTE programs for Guam and the region.
• Be it resolved that ACTE supports
Perkins funding to continue as a
formula-driven grant to each of the
states and to local recipients within
states.
The full text of both resolutions can be
found on the ACTE website at www.
