Connections Are Everything

ur success as business owners and operators, as an industry and as individuals is so dependent on relationships, and ILMA has remained focused on
finding ways to bring us together and create even more ways to connect.
Technology is an excellent tool to shrink the physical distance that exists between
us. ILMA has launched its new app, which is available in the App Store and on
Google Play. The app includes everything ILMA. It has a real-time news feed and
special information, such as our recent COVID-19 resources, that you can like,
share, export, save or print directly from the app. It also features ILMA's membership directory with the power search tool, so you can quickly find fellow ILMA
members and critical industry contacts. Plus, users can communicate with each
other within the app through direct or group messaging, making it easy to connect.
The app's Events tab includes upcoming webinars and full access to the ILMA
Annual Meeting and ILMA Engage agendas, session and speaker details, and event
maps. Sessions will also be more interactive, with a new live Q&A and survey
capability. Events and event sessions can be synced directly to your phone calendar
or your in-app personal agenda.
ILMA's new Communities platform will also be accessible through the app. It
will allow our committees to communicate directly through the platform, share
documents and links, and collaborate. It's an upgrade from the current communities
platform, with a better look and a more intuitive design.
In June, we launched our virtual Town Hall meetings, which members can call
into or access via the app. Town Hall presentations at ILMA meetings have always
been well received, and you can now take part from anywhere. They are a great way
to get the latest industry updates and insights that help us move our operations and
the industry forward.
As crucial as virtual connections are, I am looking forward to our in-person
Annual Meeting, Oct. 24-27, at the iconic Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca
Raton, Florida. Registration is now open, and I encourage you to sign up to attend.
The event brings all key decision-makers in the lubricants industry together for
four days of committee meetings, technical sessions, networking opportunities, and
social and sporting events.
As I've said, this year's theme, #EssentialILMA, is particularly relevant right now.
Our industry was on the front lines keeping our country's trucking operations and
manufacturing industries functioning. Much of what we do is behind the scenes,
which is why we need to come together to celebrate the significant role we play in
keeping the country and the economy running.
Thank you for supporting ILMA, each other and all of those industries that rely
on us. Together, we can increase our knowledge, advance the industry and celebrate
our successes.
