John Lorimor

MEET JOHN LORIMOR
Lorimor is technical director for Aerospace Lubricants Inc.,
a privately held manufacturer of specialty products located
in Columbus, Ohio. He has served in various lead technical
and commercial roles in organizations of all sizes, which has
given him a unique and valuable industry perspective that
he will bring to the Board.
Before joining Aerospace Lubricants, Lorimor held positions with Lubrizol Corp., Whitmore Manufacturing Co.,
Royal Manufacturing Co. and Lubrication Engineers.
" John Lorimor first worked for my company when he
started in the industry, " said Scott Schwindaman, president
and CEO of Lubrication Engineers. " It is always nice to see
those success stories as people grow their careers. "

Lorimor is also an internationally recognized expert in
the formulation and production of lubricating grease and
has driven innovation and growth within the industry for
more than 25 years. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemical

Board Members' Hopes for 2021
The year 2020 was full of challenges, but ILMA and its members pivoted to ensure they could continue to provide the goods
and services that are essential to the lubricants industry. Board members said they have several hopes for the year ahead.

" No. 1, I hope we have an in-person
ILMA meeting in June. It is going to be
really important for those within our
industry to get together and see everybody. I know we may not get back to
normal 100%, but I hope we can start
traveling again and doing business face
to face. As much as I think the technology that enabled ILMA's virtual meeting
was outstanding, I still think face-toface is king. That is big in any industry
and to any business. It is also important
for supply chains to get back to normal
and people to get back to work. "

" We need stability. We need more
normalcy. We need consistency. COVID
isn't going to go away, but hopefully,
we can get control over it so it doesn't
impact our industry the way it did in
2020. Things aren't going to come
back all at once, but if we can head in
the right direction in 2021, we'll all be
better off. "

" I would like to ensure the small,
flexible, independent manufacturers
that make up ILMA can have innovative
products that are differentiated from
the products the majors offer to benefit
the end users. I was an end user. I knew
the benefit of high-quality oil for the
performance base. That innovation
and differentiation is needed by the end
user and the customers, so I would like
to see that continue not only in 2021,
but as long as we're making lubricants
and putting lubricants out there. "
