Foundation and the Scholarship Program year after year. To date, through the Scholarship Program,

we can continue to provide academic funds to deserving students and fund important education and

a prepaid customer account. " Truck drivers already have
numerous electronic data systems on board, most recently
electronic driver logs. As the system is phased in, auto
manufacturers could integrate the system into their cars'
onboard computer systems, with payment of VMT tied to
vehicle registration.
Many fear privacy issues related to VMT, and that is certainly
a valid concern. As leaders on Capitol Hill begin serious
deliberations on transportation funding, they should explore
multiple options and spread the cost of infrastructure to all users.
Congress has sidestepped the nation's infrastructure for far
too long. Roads are pot-holed, the supply chain is strained
with congestion, and the U.S. is falling behind in its ability
to deliver goods and services. It is time for a bold, transportation-focused vision that can attract bipartisan support.
