Annual Meeting 2017
Meet me in Base Camp!

nnual meetings are busy times for everyone. Members are trying to
squeeze in educational sessions between business meetings. ILMA
staff members are registering members, checking on speakers and
helping to solve various problems that crop up. All of us, members and
ILMA staff, are on the go from early morning until late at night.
I always look forward to meetings because it's a great opportunity to have
face time with the members, to hear about what is important to them and
to learn from them. Unfortunately, because of the activities mentioned
above, sometimes it's challenging to coordinate meetings with folks.

This year, I've set aside special time in my schedule just to connect with
members. Please make time to come by Base Camp for my special member
"Meet & Greet." It's hard to believe that I've been on board with ILMA for
a little more than 2½ years now. While I've met quite a few of our members, there are still a few people with whom I haven't connected. If you are
in that category, I hope you'll take a few minutes of your time to stop by my
Meet & Greet. I have three sessions planned: 3-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14;
1:30-2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15; and 2-3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16.
I tried out this idea in April at the Management Forum in Carlsbad,
California, and it proved to be a success. I'd like to meet you, hear about
your business and what you need more (or less) of from ILMA. Do you
have a regulatory issue you'd like to discuss? Do you have an idea for a
meeting location or an educational session? How are we doing? What can
we do better? Or perhaps you would just like to introduce yourself.
