manufacturing facilities in Hattiesburg,
Mississippi, and Severn, North Carolina. This acquisition moves Ergon into
the specialty chemicals market. Like
Ergon, Resinall serves customers in the
adhesive, tire, ink and specialty markets
around the world.
"The overlap in our key industries
and customer base makes Resinall
a perfect fit for the Ergon organization," said Emmitte Haddox, Ergon
CEO. "Ergon's existing terminaling,
trucking and waterways transport
infrastructure, as well as our technical
and operational expertise and support,
will help Resinall achieve even greater
success. Our company cultures are
remarkably similar."
Like Ergon, which was started by
Leslie Lampton with only two employees in 1954 and has grown to serve
customers in more than 90 countries
around the world, Resinall was founded
by a visionary who came from humble
beginnings. The family-owned company
was established by John M. Godina in
1981 and has been managed by his wife,
two sons and an executive management
team since his death in 2012.
"As we considered potential suitors
for Resinall, Ergon was by far the best
fit," said Lee Godina, former president
of Resinall. "Not only does Ergon
understand what it means to be a
manufacturer, but they deeply value
employees and support customers."
"We are excited to welcome Resinall
to the Ergon family," Haddox added.
"We look forward to continued growth
for both companies in the future."
PILOT CHEMICAL CO. OPENS
INNOVATION CENTER
Pilot Chemical Co. officially opened
its new, state-of-the-art Innovation
Center in Pittsburgh on July 25. The
center - an expansion of the Pilot

Polymer Technologies laboratory facility in Pittsburgh - doubles the size
of the original facility. Pilot Chemical
has added nine new roles to staff the
facility, built to address customer
needs and develop new products.
The construction of the center is a
tangible milestone in Pilot Chemical's
Technology and Innovation Initiative,
which the company launched in January. Under the Initiative, the company
is investing $5 million this year -
and millions more over the next five
years - in technology and innovation.
Pilot Chemical's vice president of
Technology and Innovation, Patrick
McCarthy, was joined by the company's CEO and president, Pam Butcher,
and the chairman of the company's
Board, Paul Morrisroe, for the official
ribbon cutting.
"The construction of the Innovation
Center reflects Pilot Chemical's firm
commitment to innovation and our
customers," said Butcher. "With the
opening of this center and the planned
opening of a Technology Center in
Cincinnati in the near future, Pilot is
ready for the future and the changing
needs of the marketplace."

Grzejka held a number of positions
with Exxon Chemical, including
roles in engineering services, research
and development, manufacturing
laboratory support and sales and
marketing. Grzejka earned both his
undergraduate degree and master's
degree in Chemical Engineering from
the University of Pittsburgh.
"We are excited about the opportunity to bring Tony on board to
support our customers and their
business development efforts on the
west coast," said Christy Henley, vice
president of Sales. "Tony's extensive
knowledge of the lubricants industry
and his experience in operations,
R&D and customer technical support
make him a great addition to our team
and a valuable asset to our customers."
