Coyne and the NATA Board of Directors announced that 2012 will be Coyne’s last year at the helm of the organization, capping a successful 18year run that began in 1994. It all began a decade ago when four partners purchased Premier Air Center, a highly regarded, business aircraft heavy maintenance specialist, located in St. Louis Regional Airport (ALN) in East Alton, Illinois. Although the company, originally founded as Walston Aviation in 1947 and rebranded in 1987, had an enviable reputation for quality workmanship and customer service, the buyers continued to search for additional growth opportunities elsewhere.
