What does this mean and how does it apply to today's lesson? * Using the internet, direct students to the College Board's website where they have sample PSAT test questions and other testing preparation resources (www.collegeboard.com). * invite a panel of juniors and seniors to come into the class to talk about their standardized testtaking experiences. have the class prepare for the panel ahead of time by generating a list of questions they have about standardized tests. * Assign students to use the Weekly Planner tool. After they have used it for a week, have them discuss their experience in class. Was it valuable? did it help manage time more effectively? Are they likely to continue to use such a tool? Why or why not? if they did not like it, what else could they do to try to manage their time? * have students keep a detailed log of a 24-hour period of time. instruct them to write down exactly how they spend every hour of one full day and come prepared to talk about their experience with the class. during the share-out, ask them if they felt that they altered their activities at all based on the fact that they knew they would be sharing with the class.
