Draw student attention back to the list of barriers on the board. Ask: * Are there any barriers on the board that the class feels they cannot impact through planning ahead? * What do we do about these barriers? Do we ignore them? Can we do anything about them? Can our plans help us feel empowered to at least try to impact these in some way? How so? Summarize today's activities by letting students know that you will all be working together in 11th grade to overcome barriers by creating plans and taking action. In order to be successful, the members of your class will need to commit to supporting one another.
