There are several methods of conversion in use, which may cause slight differences in results. The Analysis attempts to follow the practice of the jurisdiction wherever possible. 1. A method widely used in Canada is to multiply the monthly benefit by 12, divide by 365, and multiply the result by 7. Example for a monthly benefit of $750: $750 x 12 365 x 7 = $172.60 2. A second method is to multiply the monthly benefit by 12 and divide by 52. $750 x 12 52 = $173.08 3. A third method is to divide the monthly benefit by 4.3 or a similar figure, because the average month contains 4.33 weeks. $750 4.3 = $174.42 2 | 2023 Analysis of Workers' Compensation Laws
