Audit Committee Budget and Finance Committee

Eli Feldman, Co-Chair metropolitan Jewish Health System Brooklyn, N.y. Stephen Proctor, Co-Chair Presbyterian Homes, inc. Dillsburg, Pa. Consisting of leaders of faith-based organizations with a mission of services to the elderly, the charge of the Faith-Based Cabinet is to: • Advance responsible strategic directions for the field of aging services • Define common ground, and advance messages and strategies related to policy and advocacy
Talent Cabinet

Kris Hansen, Chair Western Home Communities Cedar Falls, iowa the Audit Committee is charged with: • recommending the appointment (or reappointment) of the independent auditor • reviewing and negotiating the independent auditor’s fee arrangements • ensuring that the audit is conducted within the auditing standards applicable to financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller of the United States • reviewing and determining whether to accept the audit • reviewing and approving any non-audit services provided by the independent auditors, including tax services, before services are rendered • reviewing the overall performance of the independent auditor

Jim Bernardo, Chair Presbyterian Senior Living Dillsburg, Pa. the Budget and Finance Committee is one of two standing committees established by the AAHSA bylaws. it has overall fiduciary responsibility for the association. With the association’s treasurer as its chair, it reports to the AAHSA Board of Directors. Some members of this committee also serve on the investment subcommittee.
Philanthropy Network Steering Committee

Michael Bell Suncoast Hospice Clearwater, Fla. the AAHSA Philanthropy Network Steering Committee is a professional network of fundraising executives committed to enhancing the overall level of leadership in aging services fund development. the goals of the network include: • Promote the philosophy of philanthropy • Provide guidance on targeted educational opportunities • Provide a forum to share experiences, ideas and programs

Audrey Weiner, Chair Jewish Home Lifecare New york, N.y. the AAHSA talent Cabinet is charged with developing a vision of the aging services workforce and a plan for how the longterm care field can meet the future needs of providers, workers and residents/clients. the cabinet’s focus is on the following longterm care staff: administrators and directors, nurses (to include registered nurses and licensed practical nurses), direct care workers, social workers and medical directors, across all settings.
