Human Resources Professionals Network Steering Committee

Future Membership Committee

Martha Atwood, Chair Northern California Presbyterian Homes and Services, inc. San Francisco, Calif. the Human resources Network seeks to connect Hr professionals who work in AAHSA member organizations to one another. they share professional expertise, best practices and innovative approaches.
Education and Leadership Development Committee

James Bernardo, Chair Presbyterian Homes, inc. Dillsburg, Pa. the Future membership Committee is charged with understanding the changing nature of our membership and identifying and recommending strategies to: • Add value • Attract new member organizations with a particular emphasis on new kinds of aging services providers • retain existing members, especially multistate member organizations.
Legal Committee

• Assisting with the legal education sessions for AAHSA meetings • Helping provide technical assistance to AAHSA members on legal issues of broad interest
Nominations and Awards Committee

Gregory Bearce, Chair the episcopal Home Communities Alhambra, Calif. the Nominations and Awards Committee is a standing committee established by the association bylaws. its overall charge is to recommend future leadership of the association, to oversee the awards program and to recommend awards recipients. it reports to the House of Delegates for nominations and the Board for awards. the members are elected by the House of Delegates and serve a three-year term.
Housing with Services Steering Committee

James Bernardo, Co-Chair Presbyterian Homes, inc. Dillsburg, Pa. Jerry Brown, Co-Chair Bethany Center Senior Housing inc. San Francisco, Calif. this committee advises on the development of educational/shared-learning content and other programs for the AAHSA Annual meeting. the committee comprises representatives of professional networks, partner organizations and members.

Kimber Latsha, esq., Chair Latsha, Davis, yohe & mcKenna P.C. mechanicsburg, Pa. this committee comprises eight core members, plus state-designated counsel representing AAHSA state associations. the committee’s work includes the following: • Analyzing the effect on AAHSA members of various legal issues related to public policy and provider operations • monitoring state-level legal issues for the AAHSA staff • Providing recommendations on use of the Legal Fund

William Kelly, Chair Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future Washington, D.C. to develop and pursue a scalable and sustainable national plan that integrates affordable housing for low-income seniors with services to support their needs.
