Inner City Brain Trust Quality First Task Force

Neil Roberts, moderator Schuylerville, N.y. the inner City Brain trust was charged with identifying and recognizing the value that its member nursing homes bring to underserved areas. it sought to devise strategies that would help providers obtain the resources needed to continue their mission of service.
Transitions and Integrated Services Task Force

Michael Moore, Chair United Presbyterian Homes Washington, iowa the Quality First task Force is charged with providing advice and input on the implementation of Quality First from a member, state and organizational perspective, including: • Providing feedback on specific deliverables and directions • reviewing approaches and messages, • Communicating about Quality First to members • Sharing member feedback with AAHSA.
Women in Leadership Task Force

Maureen Hewitt, Chair total Longterm Care Denver, Colo. • Helps AAHSA understand the PACe program in relationship to chronic care, managed care, disease management and PACe-like models that have emerged or are emerging in today’s long-term care marketplace • Assists with the development of an advocacy agenda that will facilitate the growth and sustainability of these programs • Advises AAHSA about educational and other needs of providers managing this care • Provides input into AAHSA’s applied research agenda with an emphasis on developing pilot programs • Advises AAHSA on important strategic relationships between other organizations with similar interests

Barbara W. Thomas, Chair Kendal at Oberlin Oberlin, Ohio the AAHSA Women in Leadership task Force is charged with making recommendations to AAHSA leadership and staff to help the association advance women leaders in aging services through: • Shared-learning opportunities that serve to further their professional and personal development • Fellowship and mentoring opportunities that foster transformation, innovation and work-life balance—both within such women leaders and the field itself
